ENGINEERING

Custom n8n Development Services

Production-grade n8n workflow development — complex integrations, custom logic, robust error handling, and deployments you can maintain.

THE PROBLEM

Simple automations are easy. Production workflows are not.

Connecting two apps is straightforward. Building workflows that handle API rate limits, partial failures, idempotency, authentication rotation, and data validation across multiple systems requires engineering discipline — not drag-and-drop experimentation.

WHAT WE DO

Engineering-first n8n development.

We build custom n8n workflows with the same rigor as application development: structured error paths, logging, testable sub-workflows, documented integrations, and deployment practices that survive team turnover and production load.

CAPABILITIES

Technical capabilities

Complex workflows

Multi-branch logic, sub-workflows, batch processing, and stateful orchestration.

REST APIs & webhooks

Inbound and outbound HTTP, signature verification, pagination, and retry strategies.

Custom code nodes

JavaScript/Python when native nodes are insufficient — with clear boundaries and testing.

Database integration

PostgreSQL, Redis, and Supabase patterns for reads, writes, and transactional safety.

Authentication

OAuth, API keys, token refresh, and credential management without hardcoding secrets.

Error handling

Retries, fallbacks, dead-letter patterns, and alerting when workflows fail.

EXAMPLE FLOW

Multi-system order processing

DELIVERABLES

What you receive

Production workflows

Tested n8n workflows with documented inputs, outputs, and failure behavior.

Integration documentation

API mappings, credential requirements, and environment configuration notes.

Deployment support

Staging validation and production cutover with rollback planning.

FAQ

Common questions

Can you work in our existing n8n instance?

Yes. We develop in your environment or a staging instance with a defined promotion process to production.

Do you write custom code in workflows?

When appropriate. We prefer native nodes and sub-workflows first; code nodes when they reduce complexity or enable capabilities nodes cannot provide.

How do you handle testing?

Staging environments, sample payloads, and manual validation checkpoints. Automated testing approaches depend on your infrastructure and scope.

What about version control?

We recommend exporting workflows and tracking changes in git. We can help establish this practice as part of delivery.

Have a complex workflow to build?

Tell us about your integrations, data flows, and reliability requirements. We will scope an engineering approach that fits production.
